Hi, I’m Alix Sugarman — Licensed, Registered and Board Certified Creative Arts Therapist. 

I’ve devoted my career to helping individuals navigate and transcend painful memories, complex feelings, and trying relationships. What I’ve learned is that lasting relief comes from working with both physical sensations and mental imagery associated with distress.

After more than a decade in this field, I am certain that experiential therapy is more effective than traditional therapy. Why? Science tells us that having an experience makes it easier for our brain to develop new neural pathways and they are the key to establishing new patterns of behavior. I know that when we unite groundbreaking research with specialized techniques, we can release the pain associated with traumatic events and create unique opportunities for healing and growth.
